The 3rd and the Mortal er et norsk band fra Trondheim, som ble stiftet 1992 og holdt det gående til 2005. Bandet besto i starten av Kari Rueslåtten, Trond Engum, Finn Olav Holthe, Rune Hoemsnes og Bernt Rudberget. I 2025 kom originalbesetningen sammen igjen for å spille konserter basert på albumet Tears Laid in Earth. Dette fortsetter i 2026.

The band initially consisted of Kari Rueslåtten, Trond Engum, Finn Olav Holthe, Rune Hoemsnes and Bernt Rudberget. In 2025, the original line-up reunited to play concerts based on the album Tears Laid in Earth. The tour continues in 2026.
